Girl's Week

Scott's been gone for a week at...you'll never guess...a Mary Kay convention. Haha yes please roast him for that one. And no, he has not become and MK distributor. No Pink Cadillacs in our future. Though maybe Skipio will start giving us blue mustang convertibles...a girl can dream, right?
The first day that Scott was gone for his business trip I discovered something new about my days as a mom. I LIVE for the moment when Daddy comes home. There are three main parts of my day: baby time, nap time, and DADDY'S HOME time. I knew I looked forward to that moment when daddy comes home, but now I know just how much I need it! Late afternoon between nap time and bed time, trying to make dinner and entertain a child, after hours of only babbling and no adult-talk....you understand why Daddy's grand appearance is so GRAND!? This is what happened on that first day...I knew I was in for a long week.

Adorable! And gross.
So instead of doing a week-long chick flick marathon, or playing "crawl up the stairs" 50 times in a row, I decided that Annie and I would have a "Girl's Week" of sorts. I tried to get out and do something with her every day. Sometimes it was as simple as going for a walk or going to the grocery store, other times I got a little bit more creative than that. Check out some photos of our Girl's Week!
